Wet weather has winter steelhead on the move

With the wet weather we having this year, we are starting to see some fresh fish entering the lower Trinity. Most of these fish are wild winter steelhead but there are still a few late fall run hatchery fish in the mix. We have hooked a couple of early winter runs that have just kicked our ass fishing light sink tips and Silvey’s Tandem Tubes.  With higher water and cooler water temps we are switching over to “winter” tactics, fishing sink tips and larger flies on skagit lines. This can be a great time of year to hone your winter steelheading skills while having a good shot at a late fall run or early winter run steelhead. Look for fishing to pick up once the river clears and for a lot more winter fish to move into the system.

Available Dates: December 8th, 9th, 13th, and 14th

Go for the grab!
