Finally a little rain….much more needed

Well it only took a month or so to get a little rain up here on the North Coast. While it will give us a little water for a few days, much more is needed. Many of our rivers south of the Klamath are still closed and will likely take a couple of more big storms to get things going down there.

Spent the day yesterday with my good friend Dave, aka “the crumbler” and John Arnold, co-owner of Headhunters Fly Shop in Craig, MT. With only a couple of options to explore with all the low clear water on the north coast we went for the home run and it paid off. A combination of rain and a slow rising river brought in fresh pushes of winter steelhead throughout the day.
